The first 40 days of the 2020 quarantine.





  1. Insulated the Den

  2. Several bike rides on the Capital Trail

  3. Grilled - steak, burgers, hot dogs, chicken, stir-fry, unstuffed cabbage rolls,

  4. Walked many miles in the 3 neighborhoods nearby

  5. Completed our Census

  6. Got an air fryer.

  7. Primed and Painted walls in spare bedroom

  8. Painted trim in spare bedroom

  9. Snake in the house!

  10. Sat in the Sun

  11. Enjoyed many breakfasts and dinners on the deck with the cat and dog.

  12. Took a road trip to NN Burgers - YUM!

  13. Planted tomato, cucumber, squash, zucchini, cantaloupe, pumpkin and pepper seeds - used egg cartons and TP tubes for seed starters.

  14. Mulched the front flower bed

  15. Found hundreds of flower pots buried in the yard.

  16. Orders Misfit Market Veggie delivery - best thing yet!

  17. Made dinners: chicken wrapped in bacon stuffed with cream cheese; homemade brownies, parmesan chicken over spaghetti squash, pork tenderloin with apples, peanut butter oatmeal cookies with dark chocolate

  18. Organized items from the basement to storage in the attic.

  19. Set up raised flower bed - from an old bed platform.

  20. Got six chicks from Tractor Supply

  21. Found a HUGE turtle in the yard

  22. Finished wiring the den

  23. Hung blinds and curtains in the spare bedroom - nearly complete!

  24. Started flower seeds in kcups.

  25. Pulled out LOTS of wood from a building for our Chicken coop.

  26. Made s’mores in the air fryer - delish!

  27. Roasted cabbage wrapped in bacon in the air fryer

  28. Installed drywall - in the den

  29. Tried new produce: mangoes, butternut squash

  30. Installed a new to us sink, faucet and dishwasher

  31. Took a road trip to Carter Mountain and Bodo Bagels

  32. Filled flower pots with potting soil - waiting for the seedlings.

  33. Mowed the yard…many times

  34. Photoshoots of the Chickadees…many times

  35. Easter with the Family via FaceTime

  36. Pack up winter clothes, purge winter and spring clothes

  37. Nightly “Chicken Time” with Jake (dog) and the Chickadees

  38. Install new backdoor

  39. Chicken Coop - plan, measure, dig in yard, get supplies from Lowes, begin building

  40. New front porch lights installed, along with outside receptacles and doorbell



This was all in addition to both Joe and I teaching remotely - not the easiest task for many! No commutes and remote work have given us each lots of EXTRA time to be thankful for!
